Time Machine could not be configured. The built-in network interface could not be found

“Time Machine could not be configured. The built-in network interface could not be found.”

On my Eee PC, I fixed this by installing the modified IONetworkingFamily.kext and enabling Ethernet in the BIOS.

    OK… -what- modified IONetworkingFamily.kext…? Modified how?
