iPhone Notes Theme
Chipmunk near Lake Louise
Since having only text makes my site boring, I’ve resolved to start every post with an image.
Yesterday, my sister started working on her Foods blog, and she was searching for an appropriate theme. My own site was long overdue for a theme update. Heck, my tagline still stated I was a student at USC! (I graduated about 8 months ago.)
I found this iPhone Notes Theme on the WordPress Free Themes Directory. Be warned, though: the version for download there is NOT the latest version. It says 1.3, but it’s actually older than the one that says 1.2, which you can get directly from the theme author’s website. Go for that one instead.
What do you think of the new design?
I didn’t take before-and-after screenshots. The old theme was nice, but not so noteworthy that I really need to record it.
The only thing that concerns me about this theme is the yellow background. Is text easier to read on white?
Brief sidenote on the U.S. economy
“We are ready, and we will act if the economy does not continue to improve.” — Ben Bernanke, Federal Reserve Chairman, speaking to the House Financial Services Committee, July 2010
It would be funny if it weren’t so sad. The Federal Reserve caused the recession with artificially low interest rates. Every action they’ve taken since only serves to make things worse.
Now that I’m certain that things will get worse:
What’s the best way to take advantage of a worsening economy?
If we really wanted the economy to improve, we should listen to Ron Paul. He’s been advocating the abolishment of the Federal Reserve since joining Congress in the 1970’s.
Here’s a video I put together more than 2 years ago, all about Ron Paul:
(Edit: Looks like this isn’t working right now– apparently the video host, Revver, is returning an error. I’m leaving it here because it might start working again in the future.)
This new theme is wonderful!
